MUSE

Today's outfit: New Look military vest, Gina Tricot black denim Jacket, Monki midi dress, Ebay creepers, fringe bag and eye necklace, Nelly.com tringle necklace, DIY ying&yang necklace, beanie was found lying around at home.

I totally felt like Alt-Livia Dunham today in that hair+vest. And then with a FRINGE bag, haha. See what I did there? Hope you did, for your own sake.

It was pouring down, but then it stopped just as I was going out, and then all of a sudden it was super sunny and I had to take my jacket off. Anyway, I had cheesecake and coffee with Malvina at our favourite café. Her treat, because I'm kinda broke this month. I'm gonna buy her lots of cheesecake when I get payed from work, because I owe her at least three pieces.

BUT being practically broke (not really, but I have very little money this month) didn't stop me from buying tickets to go see Muse live in December with Malvina and Sara. So that's nice. Gonna be awesome. And Malvina is going with me to Lady Gaga in Copenhagen as well.

I know you all think Malvina is just my imaginary friend because she's never in any pictures, but I assure you she is very real and I do have a picture of her that will be posted at some point!

Going to bed soon, work tomorrow. Sleep tight!

F A B

I met up with Cicci after work yesterday for the first time since (going back in the archive to check) March. She has her red hair back (crazy thing with an idiot hair dresser that kinda ruined her gorgeous hair, it's a long story), and it's real pretty. She bought me a smoothie (because I'm poor) and took some photos of me/us. I honestly don't know what's up with my face on any of them, other than me not being able to pose for other people's photos, but I think for someone who's been up since before 6AM, worked all day and is wearing no make-up in the boiling sun, I am looking pretty fab (allthough, they're probably edited). And my hair looks far better than I thought it would after doing it in the bathroom at work (except for that I should have combed it before that last picture).

I'm having today off, and I'm going into town this afternoon to meet Malvina. Then I'm working again tomorrow, and am free on Sunday, work monday+tuesday, free wednesday, work thursday, and then free until tuesday next week. The thing about my job is that we sometimes have the most random schedules.

Gotta go get ready know, ttul.

Mal

Why so awesome? They should take up Firefly again and put Stana Katic in it as well (and me). Then I would be a happy woman. Yes. And also, feel free to nick name me Mal any time. I've never had a cool nick name (it's cool because it's a Firefly character and it basically means evil), so I think it's about time I do. And NO, people who new me in 7- 9:th grade, those nick names were NOT COOL. So, yeah. Mal.

(I have now nick named myself Mal on pretty much all sites I'm on (except facebook) and I don't fucking care if you like it.)

Sweden

You're all just jelly 'cause my sister's in the Swedish national taekwondo team. Yeah, I stole her sweater, because I'm cool. Did I mention she took a bronze medal at the U21 EC? 'Cause she did. That's pretty cool as well. And Sweden was the fourth best nation of all! I love my country, I really do, we're pretty kick ass in many ways, other than taekwondo. Pun intended.

I missed my family when they were away. I pretty much only talked to my cat when they were away, I almost forgotten how to form proper sentences. Gonna go back to them now, and return the sweater, cheerio!

Picture Diary / 15 - 18 June / Keep away from fire

Because I don't have any new pictures and I like my hair in the first pic, my cat, studded top and New Look's  advice in how to handle your clothes. All their tags say "KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE", even those on knickers. Thank you New Look, I shall keep my knickers and other clothes at a safe distance whenever I decide to light a candle or a cigarette (which I do never). I can't decide if I think it's cute or just pointless. Much like this post. But I'm pretty sure that the post'pivps indeed the latter.

Update: NO YELLOW LINES?!?! I don't get it what are they why aren't they going away in the other posts? Got help now and they're all gone.

Update 2: Though, I've noticed that all posts in the category 'short films / vloggs' are gone. Well, they're not GONE, the posts are still there, just not in the category. Seems to be the only category not working, though. Anyway, if it doesn't fix itself, all my videos are on my youtube channel anyway, so you can always watch them there.

Stiletto II

I don't even know. She has crazy ass gorgeous hair and she kills people with a knife. She even stabbed a girl in the throat. I can't handle it.

But you catch a glimpse of sunlight shining down on your face

Fashion credits: Vero Moda crop top (DIY), Bikbok denim shorts and lace trimmed socks, vintage belt, Ebay creepers.

Shorts are new. There was a sale on Bikbok and I ended up buying them and a sheer white blouse/shirt. I'm pretty proud that most of my clothes these days are DIY, sale/ebay bargains or second hand. Can't remember the last time I bought something new for full price (not counting the Fashion Against Aids stuff).

I'm gonna share a little secret with you. Okay, it's not really that much of a secret, but it sounded good to write that. The thing is; I'm pretty sure I have an hair OCD. The second my hair is not the way I want it, I have an internal freak out I can't really think of anything other than doing something about it. This is quite obviously the reason I dye it all the time. As you all probably know by now I'm actually blonde. I've been blonde all my life, up until a little over a year ago when I dyed it red/orange. I don't miss it at all. Don't get me wrong, I think blonde hair is really pretty, just not on me. Whenever my dip dye faded so much that it was almost blonde I had that said freak out. My point is that I like my hair the way it is now. Sort of off-black. I feel good in it. But again, as soon as it fades into something more brown-ish, I freak again. I honestly don't get how that can be. Shouldn't I feel more like me in my natural hair colour? Obviously not. Wierd.

Btw, I'm rewatching Firefly. It has really grown on me. In the beginning I thought it was a bit so-so, but I truly enjoy it now. I suppose it's the whole space grunge thing that's going on in it. Such a shame it was cancelled. I really don't get why, because it's quality TV, despite my personal first feelings about it. Well well.

ps. I'm really pissed of about the yellow lines around the pictures. They're really messing up my colour theme, so I'm gonna e-mail my bloggin platform and ask wtf? ds.

xx

Stiletto

This is probs gonna be the death of me. Nice knowing you.

(I dunno why there's a yellow line around the picture, it's not supposed to. Is it there for you too or it it just for me? It's not there when I edit the post, nor in the actual file...)

New in

Some things I've recieved in the mail in the past couple of days. Military vest from New Look, H&M metallic flats and New Look feather ear rings. All was on sale!

I'm waiting for quite a few more packages to arrive in the mail. I had a little Ebay shopping spree at the end of last week. Figured I needed some new stuff that I could wear to work, and later when we go to Mallorca. I'll try to show it all to you as I get it, but a lot of it is being shipped from Hongkong so it's probably gonna be a while longer!

Dip Dye

I did a pastel pink dip dye on Lovisa the other day. It ended up very light (it's even lighter irl) because she was being a chicken about it when we were gonna do it. Anyway, it turned out real pretty and the shade really suits her. This was the first time ever she dyed her hair, and I'm a bit proud that it was in pink. I dyed my hair for the first time when I was twelve, but it was only with a copper red shade (I had almost the same hair colour as Lovisa does now). But I was also fourteen (Lovisa is fourteen) when I did pink high lights for the first time with Stargazer Shocking Pink. For this though, I used Directions Caranation Pink and shitloads of condiditoner. We're probably gonna do it a bit darker next week, though.

I prefer Directions over Stargazer (which are the only two that are available in store where I live) because I think it's easier to work with the cans and I like their shades better. I have never tried Manic Panic, because it's harder to get hold of here and more it's expensive. Have any of you tried Manic Panic? Is it better? Does it last longer? I would like to know, because it could be sort of a waste to order it and then find out I could just as well have used Directions.

If you're looking for the main attraction

H&M dress, jacket, tights and sunglasses, Urban Outitters (Deena and Ozzy) heels and Stradivarious necklace.

I've been wondering when someone was gonna tell me I look like Jessie J ever since I dyed my hair back to one colour. Yesterday was the day. It took five days, in which I only actually left the house twice. Now, I know I don't actually look like her, I just have the hairstyle that used to be sort of her trademark. I don't care, I don't really listen to Jessie J, but I guess she's pretty cool.

Thinking about what to do with my day. Maybe take some photos or something. Go grocery shopping? I even need to get to town to get some refill on hairproducts. I'm almost out of heat protection, and I need to ba able to flatten my hair. Unfortunately, I don't have a bus card atm, and my usual meet-up-last-minute-shopping-partner Malvina has gone back to her hometown over summer, so I'm on my own. So I'm probably gonna have to make Lovisa go with me before taekwondo on Monday or something. Isn't life just so complicated? (no, not really)

xx

Va Va Voom

I always kinda envied people with this hair style, it's like the ultimate stylish, and now I've got that boom boom! (sorry, I'm working on making sense of Nicki Minaj's lyrics.) Still trying to learn the best way to flatten it this way, I've got a little curl on the side that always turns the wrong way. It's still not black, but very much brown, despite what my photos tell you!

I'm off to my cousin's graduation party sometime soon, but I still haven't decided if I'm going with red or turquoise details or all black. I'll try to take an outfit photo for you this time!

xx

Sara's Graduation

I am SOOO sorry for not updating for a couple of days, but yesterday was my oldest younger sister's graduation from secondary school. I don't remember what I wrote about it when I graduated, but for you non-Swedish readers who might not been around then (two years ago), there's all whole tradition of things you do on graduation day here in Sweden, which usually ends with a party for family and not-also-graduating friends. In our case that party took place in our home. So the past days up until now has basically been me running about in a tracksuit, cleaning. As you know we live in, not one, but TWO houses, and all needed to be completely dust-and-dirt free. And since my sisters were in school, dad at work, and even though my mum had taken a few days off, she was cooking, which only left me, you can imagine I've been pretty busy.

I was gonna take an outfit photo of what I was wearing at the party, but I didn't have time. But look at how pretty Sara was (in a dress from Odd Molly)! I will never get over how much we don't look alike. She's all tall (at least 15cm taller than me), and tan and blonde and athletic, and I'm, like, non of that. And look at my dad, all cool in a bow tie. I approve.

Anyway, all the cleaning was worth it, it was a nice graduation party, and everything is shiny and clean now (at least in my house).

Have I told you guys, by the way, that Sara has qualified to the U21 European Championships in Taekwondo, and has taken her Black belt as well! I am so proud of her!

Now I need to go shower, so that my hair dries sometime today, because my cousin graduates today, so we're going to his party tonight. Cheerio!

Btw, Sara, you're gonna get a late graduation gift from me, either early next week or after you come home from Greece, depending on when it arrives! Just so you know!

xx

Black

I know my hair does look black here, and for now it probably will in most pictures. It's not, just almost. It turns black in photoshop because of a colouring thing I do in the curves tool that hightens all the colours and makes all dark surfaces slightly blue (which I usually change later), and that sort of makes them all float together as one shade.

I need to run, because I'm catching a bus to town, to meet up with Malvina before she goes back home tomorrow. Then I'm taking Lovisa shopping, so I won't be home until late (which is why you're getting a morning/lunch post). See ya!

Stranger

Fashion credits: All H&M.

I was going crazy with my dip dye and my roots. I had about an inch of blonde roots. And I got all angsty every time my dip dye went blonde (traumatized teenage years?). So getting rid of it feels very good, and I do feel a bit asian (stereotypical, much? No offence to asians, I have wished I was since I was a kid). I'm gonna try to get some hair extensions together, and then I will look like Jess from New Girl instead. I have even looked up my wayfarer-wannabes with clear glass, because I'm such a nerd.

Feels weird that two years ago, when I graduated, I was bleach blonde and now for my sister's graduation my hair is practically black (very very dark brown, even my extensions that are supposedly "darkest brown" are too light).

Speaking of graduation and stuff: I totally forgot to tell you the cutest thing! My old secondary school teacher asked if she could put me as her student reference on her job application. Teacher's pet much? I didn't know you needed student references, but I suppose it figures, doesn't it? No, but honestly, I think it's very sweet, and she was one of my fav teachers, so it's not like it's a problem. Could help a bit that I had her in most of my favourite/best subejcts too (photography+swedish).

I'm gonna watch some Community and then try to sleep (TRY TO). Night!

Picture Diary / 26 May - 1 June / Pixel Amber

Pictures from my iphone.

Flowers from an apple tree in someone elses garden is blowing into ours, and it looks like snow. Mixed with the rain, it's a bit depressing. I'm on summer leave now, up until June 25:th. I could do with some more sun.

I've been stretching my black pumps from New Look (thereof the poorly matched frog socks). I'm wearing them on my sister's graduation next week, and I don't want for it to hurt. I said recently that I have wide feet, and it's a problem with most shoes. Okay, well, really, it's not wide feet, I have bunions (hallux valgus). It doesn't look too bad, but it's been pretty painful. that I've had surgery for and it went away (and I went down like 1,5 shoe size), but it seems to be coming back. It's been given me some angst, because I really don't want to operate again, my scars haven't even healed from last time. And following surgery comes a pretty shitty, uncomfortable and painful months. So, er, no thanks. Anyway: The stretching is going on well, I can now put them on, with socks on, without wanting to cut of my heel (or bunions, for that matter). I say that's progress!

I've been writing. I had a serious flow yesterday and ended up writing almost 2900 words on a new story. I'm kinda stuck at the moment though, I'm not sure exactly how to proceed. I have a tendancy to just jump between key moments, and forget about the details. Especially when I know where I've got an end goal with the story, and just want to get there. It's hard. But then again, I'm not doing this for any other reason than my own entertainment, so who cares?

Gonna see of I can move it along now, cheerio!
