Picture Diary / 20 - 29 November / Deprivation

1. Ma babey <3

2. I've got the tackiest slippers.

3. 8/92 days left!

4. I like bleach, it's fun.

5. It was a good hair/make up/outfit day. Too bad it was a sunday and I wasn't doing anything.

6. Kristoffer in his fancy hat! (Through a window, obviously. Hillevi and I were stading indoors, because it was fucking freezing.)

7. Fancy pants.

8. GrandMa on PC. For some reason I'm in charge of it in our current project, although I don't really know what I'm doing most of the time. I can barely manouver neither GrandMa (which is a light control table you use when doing stuff like concerts and shows) nor a PC. Makin' it work though, because I have a talent for computer programs. A very useful talent, actually (also the reason I'm a photoshop ninja).

New leggings. I'm a sucker for all things bodily when detached from said body (like bones, blood or realistic hearts), so naturally it was love at first sight with this alien eyeball print. Saw them, wanted them, ordered them, got them, wore them. I think the lady next to me on the train home was afraid they might jump out of the print and attack her, because she stared awkwardly in their direction the entire time.

The state of my life is the following: I vonuntarily go with my mum just to hang out at the shop at my sisters' taekwondo club for two hours, just because there's no new Castle episode today and I don't know what else there is for me to do at home. Why even? I hate it when there's no new episode and I don't know about it beforehand. Because then I find out on the same day and the whole day gets kinda ruined. Reason I feel emotions: TV-shows. I'm not even bothered. Tomorrow there's a new Rizzoli & Isles. I've been without it for three days. This is why I hate starting on new shows, because I finish them way too fast and then there's just... nothing. THREE DAYS, and I don't know what's up and what's down? Well, just one more day and then it will be alright again for about 45 minutes.

Gonna go rights ahead and waste some time now. Cheerio!

Devil in the flesh

I posted a sneak peek on my instagram (I'm monsteryouth there too), so I figured I'd post one here too. There's a better picture of it coming later, just didn't want you guys being the last ones to see, since I'm about to change my porfile pic pretty much everywhere.

Kinda loving my face+hair today. Pretty much clear skin and no roots. And I managed to do my make up without screwing it up! Doesn't get any better than this.

And yes, I have (almost) black&white hair, and I do not take offence by being compared to a certain disney film character. Compare me to pretty much any evil (disney) character and I'll take it as a compliment.

Death by Death

I look awfully happy (or maybe more like caught by surprise) in this photo considering I'm NOT. I've been home sick from school for the past two days, since my head felt like it was imploding. But yesterday afternoon I headed into town anyways, because, you know, a girl's gotta eat (I was out of milk). And now it seems I'm getting punished for skipping school but still going shopping, because today my face decided it hates me, my skin is cracking up again and my eyes have swelled up. AGAIN. So now I have like 1000kg of moisturizer on, and am trying desperatly not to poke myself in the eye so I start crying again.

Anyway. My tattoo is pretty much healed. At least my arm is not swollen anymore, and it doen't hurt when I touch it. I'm gonna take pictures of it for you soon. I'm just gonna dye my roots first and, you know, let the swelling around my eyes go away. So maybe tomorrow, if I find the willpower to take care of my roots today.

Now I'm gonna continue feeling sorry for myself and finish what I have left of Rizzoli and Isles (three episodes, lucky me that it's returning on the 27:th). Cheerio!

Life ∞

This is my life atm (when I'm not at school). I'm not even joking. I'm currently working my way through Rizzoli & Isles. Kinda like it, but it's not the best I've seen. Can't wait for winter break. Less than a month to go!

Another day, another dream

Outfit credits: Bikbok coat, H&M swearer, Gina tricot shirt and scarf, eBay leggings, Weekday boots.

I've never tattooed a place where the skin is this thin before. Like I said, actually getting the tattoo wasn't much worse than any of the others (outside upper arm, inside forearm and neck, in case you're new), but from the numbness wore of and the following 24h after that was crazy. I couldn't do anything. Couldn't even barely raise my arm. BUT DESPITE THIS, I am so psyched about it. I'd even go as far as saying this is my favourite tattoo so far. Funny 'cause it's the one with less meaning behind it. Apart from the fact that my BFF since I was 14 drew it for me. But really I did it just because I think it's pretty. Some of you, that know me irl, have seen it already, but you who wait for photos are gonna have to wait about a week longer, for the swelling and redness to go away, and for it to heal a bit more. I really think it's soooo pretty and it deserves to be seen as it's supposed to look, and not like a sticker someone put on my arm that I had an allergic reaction to, but can't remove.

It's so awkward, there's people my age who have pretty much their whole bodies tattoooed, and I'm totally freaking out about this little 10x8cm one on my arm. But I just really really like it!

I had a two hour nap this afternoon and I had a super long and weird dream. It was kinda magical, scary and thrilling at the same time. And as it turns out, I'm socially awkward when I'm dreaming too. Lots of not so pleasant situations came up.

Gonna go wash my hair now, cheerio!

Picture Diary / 18 November / Black & White

My god, guys. You forget between the times that actually getting tattooed is a real childs play compared to the hours after. My arm is sooo sore right now. I was gonna wash my hair, but I can't bring myself to do it. I just wanna sit on the couch and not move. This is by far the worst I've had so far, but this one is my biggest, most detailed and in the worst spot so far, so I guess it's only natural. I'm not gonna show it to you until it has healed a bit more, 'cause right now it just looks kinda weird next to the other ones. But it'll be worth the wait and the pain, because it's so beautiful and by far the best I have. Kudos to Rashed at Black & White Tattoo for a job very well done!

Sanna was with me, because she drew the tattoo for me. And she's awesome. Obviously.

Much Ado About Nothing

Guys, I can't stop crying. For real. Tears have been pouring from my eyes all morning. Why, you ask? I don't fucking know. Allergies, most probably. And I can't find the cream I usually put on my eyelids when they get dry and itch, so my face is not happy. So no make up today.  Doesn't my hair look pretty sassy when it's tied up, though? I think so.

ANYHOW, I watched Much Ado About Nothing from Wyndham's Theatre in London 2011 last night. The one with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. And you know what? It was amazing. I wish I had been there to see it irl. Although it was very well filmed. You should see it. It's available online, with subtitles if you have a hard time keeping up with what they say. Although, I have to say I thought it would be harder than it was. I watched the first hour with subtitles and the rest without, and I was able to keep up. That dude Shakespeare, though. He must have been such a weird little man. Love him.

I'm going with mum and Lovisa to see the last Twilight film now. Yeah. Talk to ya laterz.

I made blonde highlights in my hair. The future plan is for them to be silver grey (think Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies), but they're still too yellow for any kind of grey dye to actually stick. And since my iron hair might have survived this first massive bleach-fest to get what I have now, without going chewing gum on me, I think it might deserve some rest before I go at it again. It's not too bad as it is now, but it feels kinda half-finished. But we'll see if I can silver-schampoo or blue-conditioner the yellow out of it, so I don't have to bleach again, before I have to get rid of roots anyway.

Nelly Trend Spiked Loafers

I got these babies a while ago, on sale at Nelly.com. I'd been dying for a pair of spiked loafers for months, but I really didn't want to pay lots of money for a pair of flats that are just that: flat. I have problems with my feet as it is, and who wants to pay like way over $100 just to be in pain? I've done that mistake once already (although my JC Tardys are still my babies and I'm never getting rid of them).

Anywa-hay, I payed 250 SEK for the black ones and 50 SEK (after a 100 SEK extra discount) for the yellow ones. I got the black ones first, and what I really wanted was a pair of flat shoes that I could just put on really fast for when I'm in a hurry, with no laces or straps, but that are still a statement shoe that's pretty badass. Spiked loafers are the ultimate shoe for this, in my opinion. What shoes I wear is incredibly important to me. It's also what I look at first when I evaluate someone else's style. Choice of shoes tells you SO much. So I want people to look at my shoes and see what I want them to see, even if I had a rough morning and didn't have time to put on a super sassy outfit, do my hair, or lace up my JC boots.

When I was contemplating getting these, I googled for reviews of them, because I was unsure about the size and what they would look like on me. I couldn't find any that answered the questions I had, but I got them anyways, and they were great. But I figured I'd now do a post where I write about the questions I had.

I have a fairly high arch, so if a pair of shoes without a strap that are open like this are the least too big for me, they fall off. And since I'm between two sizes (36-37), usually depending on the model of the shoe, it's always hard to know which to pick if I can't try them on somehow. When I'm unsure I usually go for 37, and I did this time as well. They fit me very well, but now that they've stretched a bit, I can quite easily flip them on and off my heel. They don't fall off when I walk, though. They were very stiff when I got them, and I was afraid that it was gonna be very painful to break them in, but it wasn't. It only took a few hours and I got no blisters whatsoever. Though, it was to be said that these shoes are REALLY flat, so it you have problems with that, then maybe these aren't for you.

I've got weirdly shaped feet, and I'd say that if a shoe looks good on me, viewed from above, then they probably look good on anyone. And these look fairly good on me, so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet for most of you. Unless your feet are more weird than mine.

The quality is pretty good. The sole is a bit thin, so if you wear them a lot lot lot, you're probably gonna need to re-heel them eventually. And I have to tell you, I did kick one spike off, the first thing I did when I got them (it was in a "good place" so you can't really tell), and there's no way to re-attach it, nor any extra spikes. But since then, I've accidently kicked a lot of things (and people, I'm sorry!), but no more has fallen off. So I think I just had really bad luck that first time.

I think that's pretty much it. Here's a link to the black ones, and the yellow ones. If you're unsure about the actual shade of the yellow ones, then the shade they have on my picture is pretty accurate. They look a bit warmer in the shade on the website, but they are very neon/a tiny bit greenish. Also, the loafer are available in lots of more colours, like blue, pink, tan and stuff.

(I should be writing a whole other kind of review for school, but instead I'm doing this. I lead a life of questionable priorities.)

Picture Diary / 4-12 November / The Looking Glass

1. The school project that nearly killed us all. I'm gonna bost better pictures of it someday, but we built a apartment in full scale out of paper. So the walls you see (behind and around Hillevi, as she was going stuff wrong) are litterally paper thin.

2. There was a rainbow. End of story.

3. My face. End of story.

4. Magic Monday 'cause I always watch Once Upon a Time on Mondays. H&M knows the deal.

5. Cheesecake. End of story.

6. We went to the museum for school. I took no photos of the exhibition we were supposed to work with, but loads of creepy dolls, dollhouses and this weird eyeballs that we found in an exhibition that we still don't know what it was for. There were no signs or anything telling us it's subject or purpose. It was dead cool anyways. It had a (not real) Gorilla in a cage. And eyeballs, obviously.

7. Since my life goal is to become a badass evil queen, when I saw this make-up kit from Elf, I knew I needed it my life. They don't sell it in Sweden (naturally), but luckily I found it on Ebay to a more than reasonable price, so now it's mine. Yayus.

I know I said I was gonna do a review on those shoes, and I will. I just need to get around to, you know... do it. Too lazy for life right now.

Pearls and Diamonds

Yesterday was Matching Outfit Friday. We forgot to take pictures, but the theme was black and white. Really it was supposed to be just black with white details, so that I could finally wear my Balmain-inspired pants (aren't they just the LOVELIEST?), but then I got this coat the other day and I had to wear that too. So yeah.

I'm going to a belated Halloween party tonight. RIght now I'm wondering why the hell I agreed to it. But I already invested in a costume so I have to go. I'm gonna be Little Red Riding Hood (too continue my fairy tale theme). I'll try taking some pics for you, but I'm going to Malvina later to get ready, so it'll probably just be iphone photos.

Ans speaking of which: remember I said my iphone broke? It came back to life around 24h later, so everything is fine again!

Now I have to continue doing nothing for a few hours. Cheerio!

Fairest in all the Land

Outfit credits: msdressy.com dress, Nelly.com heels.

If you know me irl, or have been reading my blog for a while, you know I'm a sucker for "princess dresses". The fact that I never had a prom or anything to go to never stopped me from getting them. This beauty I got specially made for me from msdressy.com. They got all my measuremments, and I could choose from lots and lots of colours (and still I picked black), and sewed it up for me. I was so nervous when I tried it on! I never had a dress this fancy that wasn't a vintage bargain. But it fits perfectly (which wasn't really a surprise) and the quality is amazing! Now I need to find a prom to go to so I can wear it out!

Thursday

Back in biz, live and kickin', and all that. Going to town now to meet Malvina. And if I may say so I think I look quite fabulous today. I took a bunch of outfit photos, so at least some must turned out alright. Gotta run now, ttul!

Racy day, help me through the hopeless haze

I'm sorry for not blogging the past few days, you guys. I hate it when I negelect my blog, but we've had this crazy project in school, and I've spent pretty much all day, every day in school (including the weekend) to work on it. I feel like shit at the moment, and a bit sleep deprived for real. And on top of that my iPhone broke last night, so I'm stuck with this tiny old mobile for a while. And this is a bloody awful picture. No commitment whatsoever.

But by Thursday we'll be all done and I'll be back to business, with some new fun stuff to show you!
And btw, new spiked headband from eBay! I have one in gold too, they're super badass. I'm so into spikes right now, as you may have noticed.

Gotta go now! Hope you're all well, my dearies! <3

MATCHING OUTFIT FRIDAY

Yes, this is a thing. The first step towards Hillevi and I becoming the same person. Carrot Juice.

Snow White and the Poisoned Apple

Outfit credits: DIY headband, vintage dress.

Now wouldn't Regina just LOVE this photo? This was my first and original idea for a costume. Dead Snow White. Because I am, as you very well know by now, ever the Evil Queen fan, but I didn't have time or money for an outfit worthy of such awesomeness. So I killed her worst enemy, as a tribute, instead.

I love playing dead, and I love how it looks on photos, but it's fucking hard, you guys! Have you ever tried? You should, and you'll know what I mean!

I didn't film anything from this look because I was too lazy. But I'll just tell you that the trick to looking dead is shitloads of purple eyeshadow around the eyes and a greyish face in general.

Gotta go shower paint and make-up from my body, and grease and products from my hair, now. Cheerio!

xx

A bullet in your what?

I could easily do Halloween all year around. I'm doing Snow White tonight, but I noticed when I was settingthings up on my location that I had forgotten to charge my camera, so I have to wait maybe half an hour before I can actually shoot it. But I'm done with hair and make up. Some minor details are to be added when I'm in costume, though. Like the apple. Can't forget the apple.
